Village Eyecare had the pleasure of participating in a health fair at The Peninsula Hotel of Chicago this October. The Peninsula puts tremendous value on the health and wellness of its employees and their annual health fair is an integral part of this initiative. This event helps the hotel employees connect to quality wellness providers in the downtown Chicago area.
Dr. Sood and her staff had a great time meeting the people who stopped by the Village Eyecare table. The Peninsula’s employees tried on frames from the South Loop’s eyewear collection, where they were given an explanation of their benefits. Free eye screenings allowed people to get an idea of their prescription and they were able to make an appointment on the spot, if needed. Village Eyecare also had great give-aways, including a complete pair of designer eyewear with lenses, and goody bags from Zeiss.
Village Eyecare participates in events such as this to stay connected with and provide service to the community through awareness and eye care education.
