On August 11th, 2022 we celebrated the Grand Opening of our newest office in Edgewater with friends, family, the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce, and locals from the community. Thank you to everyone that came out to show your support!
Dr. Satti Sarai spoke before over seventy optometrists and ophthalmologists at a Continued Education lecture in Chicago on the management of keratoconus with scleral lenses.
Dr. Charl Laas and Dr. Jagrut Lallu travelled all the way from South Africa and New Zealand to work with our team. They are both world-renowned Orthokeratologists that spent the morning evaluating several OrthoK patients with our doctors and sharing advanced troubleshooting techniques

Continuing education is so important to our doctors. During this training, our entire staff was able to get hands on and learn more about prescribing Scleral Contact Lenses.

We had a wonderful time at the Vision Expo this year, we spent three days exploring the floor and networking with peers around the country. We were able to bring two additional team members this year, Damian and Cameron, which was a great opportunity for us to get a well-rounded view of all that the show had to offer. We are excited to bring to Chicago some new technology/equipment for our offices and even a new frame line that we know our patients will love.
Thanks to everyone who stopped in to try on the latest eyewear designs from Lafont Paris! Lafont eyewear is handmade in France, making Parisian chic available worldwide, and known for their high quality and fashionable frames. We had so much fun helping several patients pick their perfect Lafont sunglasses and glasses.
Fun Run 2017
Village Eyecare was proud to sponsor Mitchell Elementary’s ‘Bobcat Bolt’ fun run this year in Ukranian Village. All of the money raised will help fund field trips, technology in the classroom, art, music education and more for this Chicago Public School.
Vision Expo in Las Vegas 2017
Every year, Dr. Sood and Dr. Sarai look forward to attending the International Vision Expo & Conference in New York and Las Vegas. The four-day event is jam packed with activities, people to meet and products to discover as the entire eye care industry comes together to showcase new technologies, eye wear, educational seminars, networking and more.
Staff Training 2017
We recently held an all-day training for the entire staff at Village Eyecare. Our managers led the meeting, along with input from Dr. Sood and Dr. Sarai, and we left feeling connected and revitalized!
It’s important to us to continuously learn from one another as we grow our eye care services in Chicago.
