Dr. Katje Windel OD (Associate Optometrist)
Dr. Katje Windel was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and completed her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry at Butler
University. She then went on to complete her doctorate at the New England College of Optometry where she received honors in her clinical rotations.
Dr. Windel has experience in different specialties such as low vision, geriatrics, pediatrics and contact lenses. She enjoys practicing full-scope optometry and playing a key role in improving patients’ overall health and wellness. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society as well as the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. In her free time, Dr. Windel enjoys attending concerts, going to yoga, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family, friends and two Ragdoll cats.
